I have very oily skin. I’ve used proactive but it seems to make my skin more oily than it is. I’ve also use origins but that did not help at all. Right now, I’m using Indian clay and I haven’t noticed muh diffeence. so, can you please suggest any acne treatments that can be effective for oily skin!?!?!?
Proactiv!!
I know buying proactiv can be a bit rough .. because you have to order and top of it … it can be expensive. But I have tried every other over the counter brand spending thousands of dollars and as soon as I started using proactiv they went away. I used it for like 3 years and it has left my skin very clean. I don’t use it anymore …. I do get the occasional break out once a month or so … but they go away fast because I have also changed my diet together with proactive usage.
So my recommendation is … proactiv for like a year to get your skin balanced … and at the same time change to a diet containing 1 – 1.5 liters of water, multivitamins, 3-4 servings of vegetables and fruits and very little fatty food. Keep track of your food and try and stay away from fatty stuff most of the time. It will do wonders. After your skin is cleared … then use neutrogena normal face cleanser .. and now I use any cream I want on my face without having any clogged spores or anything …
It’s just that if your skin is prone to breakouts … its best to get it in balance with a good diet and proactiv … then you can do what ever you want. My skin has never looked good those days when i was using proactiv.
Caution … do not use anything else when using proactiv. If you do it will dry your skin more and cause more acne. This is why some people complain about proactiv …. they use other products with it. Just use proactiv for two weeks and you will see a HUGE difference.

I’m very interested in the new Skin Id line….proactive never did anything amazing for me. Not that I had really bad acne I just like to keep my skin clear like the rest of us. But I do believe what may work well for one doesnt necesarily work well on others. Thats why I like their system and its been hard lately finding products to work with me skin. Its become a real pain actually. Has anyone on here tried it? Let me know, thanks for your time!
If you want to get rid of acne then your going to have to fix your insides. Acne is caused by imbalanced hormones. I suggest taking digestive enzymes with whatever it is you eat because acne is a sign that you are lacking natural enzymes in your stomach which causes your blood to get dirty and so on. Trust me, I have had nothing but bad luck with my skin, I started eating enzymes with everything I eat and I haven’t broken out since I started using it! You can get them at walmart, it is the cheapest. Look for enzyme formula. I hope you take my advice!

Getting married in a couple of months and would like to know what your thoughts are on this product? How much is it? Is is worth it? How long does it take to work? things like that, any and all info would be very helpful. I am Native American and I’ve heard that it can cause your skin color to be uneven if you are darker skinned, Is that true? and also is it like some acne treatments that can cause you to burn in the sun because of an ingredient (sp?) in it? Thanks for all answers in advance!! : )
from what i have heard about proactive is that if you stop using it, the acne comes back worse than before. so you have to keep buying the product. now walmart carries a product that is very similar to proactive. it is called AcneFree. it comes in a white bottle with orange and blue stripes. it is a three step program and costs about 20 dollars. IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT HAS EVER HELPED MY FACE (besides bc, which works great too). it does not sting my face nor does it smell bad like other acne products. i would start it down so it have time to be affective.
GOOD LUCK ON THE WEDDING

I’m currently using a treatment for acne and it’s working very well, but it’s also drying out my skin. I’m wary about using just any moisturizer, as i’m afraid it will interfere with the acne treatment and make my skin break out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do about the dry skin?
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.
It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It’s been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)
Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.
This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:
Search up "Cee En’s Acne Solution" on ebay.
First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160
It’s expensive, but the product DOES work.
My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don’t have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
check the seller’s feedbacks on the cream
I hope this helps. =)

Please help. Which is better? Any other suggestions?
I haven’t tried Skin ID, but I’ve been using Proactiv since August. It worked really well for a couple months, but lately I find that it’s not as great as it was in the beginning. I’m thinking of finishing the bottles I have and then cancelling it and swtiching back to Clean & Clear. It’s so much cheaper!

I have very pale and sensitive skin. Also, i have redness that i would Love to get rid of! But i don’t want to spend a fortune! Is there an OTC acne treatment that really works without breaking the bank?? Look for face washes which contain the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. This is the key ingredient in some of the best face washes. use a 5-10% benzoyl peroxide of mild to moderate acne and 10% for severe. Try smashing one tablet of aspirin in a small bowl, then adding lemon juice to the mixture. Aspirin is acetesalicylic acid, chemically related to salicylic acid. Apply to the affected areas overnight. It boosts the healing process while reducing redness. Try putting toothpaste (paste, NOT gel) on your face, cover it with a bandage, and keep it on all night. When you wash it off in the morning your acne will look better. The astringent and surfactant nature of the toothpaste will help diminish the appearance of pimples. But the toothpaste has been known to burn sensitive skin of the face, so be careful. If your face does burn, stop acne treatments and work on healing your burn. Try using Bentonite Clay, a natural mineral powder which has been known to absorb impurities and help neutralise the skin’s oiliness, and can be found online. Mix 2 tablespoons with a dash of cold water and smooth over the face as a thick paste. Once dried gently wipe off with a flannel or sponge. Bye…
